I was recently shown a demo loan Tiger Touch by someone who had spent some time with it in the warehouse. Is the aim to produce a cheaper version of the expert, or something completely different. It's still a fair chunk more than the Tiger. What about the price point? It's currently advertised by AC for the same price as a 2008 console, but about 1k less than the expert. In short, we play with a lot of kit! We haven't outgrown the Pearl yet, but with more and more video content, the video support of the touch is attractive. We've used media servers and projectors, as well as Robe Stagecube video walls. Shows mainly consist of 30 or so movers (Robe 575's) but we've also used Robe Digispots and we use a lot fo LED uplighting (DB4's). Who out there is hiring them? Have they made it that far yet? The theatre company I work for (I'm mainly a noiseboy, but rig lightig and followspot for these guys) have used Pearl 2004 consoles for quite a while. So, who has used one? How do we find it? It's been mentioned that it may be more of a theatre style desk than busking rock and roll, do people agree? ![]() There has been a little discussion on this desk within the PLASA thread, however I thought it now deserved its' own thread, particularly as they start to filter into the market.
